Performance Grades
PG82 – PG-82-22
Petra Oil’s PG 82-22 is a high-performance, polymer-modified asphalt binder designed for use in regions with extreme summer temperatures and cold winter conditions. Developed in line with Superpave performance grading standards, PG 82-22 offers exceptional resistance to rutting at 82°C and robust flexibility to prevent cracking down to -22°C. This makes it the perfect solution for roadways facing high traffic loads and frequent freeze-thaw cycles.
PG 82-22 is built for versatility and durability, ideal for mountain highways, regional expressways, and northern freight routes that must perform reliably across harsh seasonal transitions. Its thermal and mechanical resilience help minimize surface deformation and maintenance demands over time.
Fully compliant with AASHTO M320, PG 82-22 is produced under stringent quality controls to ensure consistent, high-grade results in challenging environments.
Key Specifications of PG 82-22:
• Performance Grade: PG 82-22
• High-Temperature Grade: 82°C
• Low-Temperature Grade: -22°C
• Standard Compliance: AASHTO M320
• Type: Superpave Performance Grade Asphalt Binder
Main Applications of PG 82-22:
• Mountain Passes and Cold Region Highways: Withstands wide seasonal temperature variations.
• Urban Expressways in Freeze Zones: Manages repeated loading in cities with harsh winters.
• National and Regional Freight Routes: Ideal for heavy-duty infrastructure with extreme thermal exposure.
Key Benefits of PG 82-22:
• Advanced Crack Resistance: Prevents low-temperature cracking in severe winter climates.
• High Rutting Resistance: Performs under extreme heat and traffic pressure.
• Exceptional Durability: Supports long-term pavement integrity under freeze-thaw stress.
• Quality Consistency: Engineered for reliable results across multiple climate conditions.
