Performance Grades

PG76 – PG-76-22

Petra Oil’s PG 76-22 is a premium asphalt binder specifically developed for infrastructure exposed to both extreme heat and deep winter cold. Built on Superpave performance grading standards, PG 76-22 delivers advanced rutting resistance at temperatures up to 76°C while offering robust flexibility and crack resistance at low temperatures down to -22°C.

This binder is perfectly suited for high-altitude, cold-weather regions that also endure intense summer heat. Its enhanced polymer modification enables long-term performance against fatigue, thermal cracking, and surface deformation—making it a trusted choice for highways, mountainous roads, and northern freight corridors.

PG 76-22 exceeds AASHTO M320 standards and is manufactured to deliver consistency and durability in challenging climate zones where roads must remain resilient year-round.

Key Specifications of PG 76-22:

•Performance Grade: PG 76-22
•High-Temperature Grade: 76°C
•Low-Temperature Grade: -22°C
•Standard Compliance: AASHTO M320
•Type: Superpave Performance Grade Asphalt Binder

Main Applications of PG 76-22:

• Mountain and Plateau Highways: Performs in regions with steep temperature gradients.
• Northern Transport Corridors: Ideal for infrastructure that faces both summer heat and deep winter freeze.
• Urban and Regional Freight Routes: Handles mixed traffic in climates with seasonal extremes.

Key Benefits of PG 76-22:

•Superior Thermal Cracking Resistance: Withstands harsh winter lows without fracturing.
• Advanced Rutting Control: Holds up under high loads and elevated summer temperatures.
• Balanced Flexibility and Strength: Ideal for long-term, high-performance pavements.
• Excellent Fatigue Resistance: Protects pavements from repetitive stress failures.
