Performance Grades
PG82 – PG-82-16
Petra Oil’s PG 82-16 is a premium-grade, polymer-modified asphalt binder formulated for high-temperature regions that also experience moderately cold winters. Engineered to meet Superpave performance grading standards, PG 82-16 offers exceptional stability at pavement temperatures up to 82°C, while maintaining flexibility and crack resistance down to -16°C. It is designed for demanding road systems exposed to both extreme surface heat and seasonal temperature shifts.
PG 82-16 is ideal for freight corridors, regional highways, and industrial roads where both loading stress and moderate freeze-thaw activity require a binder that delivers long-term resilience. With high rutting resistance and excellent thermal durability, PG 82-16 helps extend pavement life while minimizing surface failures.
Fully compliant with AASHTO M320, PG 82-16 is manufactured under strict quality control systems to ensure consistent performance in thermally dynamic environments.
Key Specifications of PG 82-16:
• Performance Grade: PG 82-16
• High-Temperature Grade: 82°C
• Low-Temperature Grade: -16°C
• Standard Compliance: AASHTO M320
• Type: Superpave Performance Grade Asphalt Binder
Main Applications of PG 82-16:
• Arid and Semi-Arid Region Expressways: Built for pavements exposed to high surface temperatures.
• Industrial Roads and Regional Freight Corridors: Handles continuous loading in hot climates with mild winter cycles.
• Urban Arterials with Seasonal Shifts: Performs reliably through moderate cold periods and heavy traffic flows.
Key Benefits of PG 82-16:
• Superior Rutting Resistance: Holds pavement shape under sustained high temperatures and loading.
• Reliable Cold Flexibility: Reduces the risk of cracking during colder months.
• Balanced Performance: Withstands seasonal transitions without compromising durability.
• Consistent Quality: Produced to deliver dependable results across all applications.
